The All Star was born in 1917 as a basketball shoe after the Converse Rubber Company decided to diversify beyond galoshes. Nearly a century later, the classic low-top gains personality from graphic artist Filip Pagowski’s red-heart-with-eyes, the all-seeing mascot of the Comme des Garçons Play collection. The logo peers out from the unbleached cotton uppers of these classic Converse sneakers, which are accented with a black stripe up the back.
