Born in Buenos Aires and raised in London and Paris, Vanessa Seward attended Studio Berçot before joining Karl Lagerfeld’s team at Chanel, where she worked for nine years. She then spent two years alongside Tom Ford at Yves Saint Laurent before moving on to help relaunch the house of Loris Azzaro.
Supported by A.P.C. and its founder, Jean Touitou, Seward debuted her own label for fall 2015. “As a woman designer, I think I can hit the sweet spot of what a real woman wants to look like,” she says. “You tell the story you want to tell; you don’t want to have it written all over your clothes.”
