- Jean Laporte
When a friend asked Jean Laporte—a chemist by training—to create a banana scent (to complete the banana costume she planned to wear to a gala at the Folies Bergères), he obliged, experimenting with natural essences. Grapefruit and vanilla fragrances followed, and these highly original scents led perfume enthusiasts to name Laporte “L’Artisan Parfumeur.”
Nearly four decades later, L’Artisan Parfumeur fragrances continue to fuse the craft of man with the beauty of nature. Each of the company’s master perfumers understands the harmony and structure of their chosen notes, which evolve as the fragrance unfolds on the skin.
