Introducing The Line 360:
Meet Allee, Style Editor

With broad and deep experience that includes serving as director of The Apartment by The Line – New York, Allee focuses on both wardrobe and home styling. “I love creating a space and a closet full of timeless pieces that generate a sense of peace, self-confidence, and that truly express my clients and how they live,” she says. “With interior projects, I love creating stories with objects, combining new pieces with personal mementos, like a pack of matches or a postcard from a meaningful holiday thrown into a Michael Verheyden concrete bowl.”

Skilled at helping clients to choose wisely and invest in pieces that will be worn and treasured for years, Allee reaches first for Protagonist (“classic with an edge”) and Khaite (“soft and strong”). “These brands allow you to create layers of looks—one piece can be worn in multiple ways and can easily shift from day to evening,” she explains, also singling out Gabriela Hearst for “playful details” and the “simple and sculptural” designs of Martin Grant. As for finishing touches, she looks to Manolo Blahnik as “the embodiment of elegance—it’s always the right choice!”

For those still seeking the perfect gift, Allee suggests a multi-functional cashmere throw (“It doubles as an oversized scarf!”) from Tenfold New York and the PK Bowl: a domestically scaled version of the massive marble bowl designed in 1963 by Poul Kjærholm for a Danish town hall. “It’s a contrast between masculine and feminine—part functional object and part sculpture—and timeless,” she says. “I love those types of contrasts in all aspects of styling. The PK Bowl can speak to everyone. Plus, it’s a great price point.”
